So, I decided I should probably let you guys know how college is going since I don't really talk to anyone here one on one about it.
I absolutely love it here! The campus is beautiful, and my roommate is so sweet (apparently a lot of people's roommates aren't, so I'm glad I actually talked to mine before I picked her.) A lot of people have actually gone out of their way to be nice and friendly. The thought that there are actually people out there that are so friendly is insane to me, because people at my school were nice, but they didn't really go out of their way to be that friendly.
My classes are really interesting in their own rights; although, I'm not really a fan of art appreciation (I love art but man do I not appreciate art appreciation.) I'm in a really interesting math, as well; it mostly involves letters, and numbers are yet to be seen. PE is....Well PE. It isn't exactly a course where you run around often, but you do learn about health and exercise and all that, so it's still somewhat interesting (until I actually did run the other day and I almost passed out. RIP.) I LOVE my Professional Educator teacher. She brings us candy every day when we sign the roll (honestly I look forward to that candy every Tuesday/Thursday). Also, I am absolutely horrible at karate, but I love it. I've been really stressed for reasons I won't mention, but it really helped me focus on something besides my worries; my sensei is a super friendly and helpful guy, and I just really love being in his class.
I also joined some clubs, but I haven't really done much with any of them yet. The anime/gaming club I'm in meets at 6pm and goes until 1am on Saturdays, and it's too scary to walk that far, especially at night (the buses don't run on weekends). Karate club is strange, just because they meet on Fridays and practice what we went over in class; they haven't had a steady meeting schedule, and I've been busy every day they actually meet. I also joined Future Educators in Action, so hopefully that'll turn into something interesting. Finally, I joined Active Minds; I can't really say too much about them, because I haven't gotten a chance to actually go to a meeting yet (they forgot to add me to the email list at first.)
One thing I do have to say, though, is that all of these "WELL I'M PREPARING YOU FOR COLLEGE" things that some of my teachers did were kind of pointless. For example, they would always set a strict deadline on things and be like "U DO DIS 4 COOL LEG", while my professors are like "Yo, just please do the quiz by Sunday. Thanks." Another example (so far) being the calculator thing "THEY WON'T LET YOU USE A CALCULATOR IN COLLEGE"; my finite mathematics professor was like "you can bring a calculator if you want, but I don't see why you'd need it."
Fang's come to visit me a few times, but there's not much to report on that end. He exists still. My best friend also came to spend two nights with me, and she's absolutely beautiful and wonderful and I missed her. I actually really hope she comes to see me again soon; I really need her right now, even if I can't tell her what's going on at the moment. I'm just glad I still did tell my roommate (since she doesn't really know the people involved), because she's a really good listener and accepts me ranting to her about it.
TL;DR: I'm really happy here, even if non college related things are stressing me out.
